Freedom Festival 2007

Freedom Festival was especially tiring this year, because from 9:00 pm Saturday night until 8:00 am Sunday morning, I was out on the grounds for security. So I didn’t sleep until I got home as 8:30 Sunday morning. Then I had to be back out there by 5:15 pm to do my Hospitality shift. After that I just walked around and took some pictures and talked to my friends. Here are a few pictures from the event.

The band was great, and they put a nice banner up just in case there was doubt about anyones patriotism...

There was a pond with catfish and brim and such that you could fish in.

There was a horse show, but I only caught the tail end of the last showing...no pun intended.

This is the airplane that the paratroopers jumped out of. The plane is about 5,000 feet in the air in this picture.

One of the paratroopers adjusting for his landing. It was really cool.

Here is a picture of a marine, the last to land. He came in backwards so the flag wouldn't blow in his way. I have a nasty habbit of drifting the camera down when I take a picture instead of holding it still when I am waiting for it to take. Makes for some bad pictures.

This is a shot of hald the field where most of the stuff was going on. I couldn't get high enough to get the whole field in one shot.

I got to test out my 'Firworks' mode on my camera, it came out ok.

Ooooh

Aaaaahhhh

This one came out crazy, haha.
