North Carolina Trip

My family always goes to visit my grandparents on my father's side at Christmas time. They are farm people and live in a small, quaint rural town. I took a lot of pictures of the landscape and farm stuff, so I will share some with you. Enjoy, maybe more later on.

Cousin's Birthday Party

Our little cousin Madalin, turned 4 this past Friday! She is one of the cutest kiddos I know.

Camera

I just got my new digital camera! It was basicually my Birthday gift, being as how I used all my birthday money to get it. Its a Kodak Easy Share Z650 and I love it. It has 10x Optical and 5x digital. With 6.1 megapixels and many features that I can adjust manually, though I doubt I ever will. So my blogs and stuff will probably actually contain pictures in them from time to time. So yeah thats about it, I might post a story I wrote a few days ago later on, but I am still deciding whether im finished or not.

Christmas, Sheep, and Pie

I love Christmas time, there are just some things that get me into the Christmas mood. Like hearing the Christmas music throughout the house, the smell of the tree, the festive lights and decorations. But what really lets me know its Christmas is the food. The Christmas cookies, the fruit cake, the egg nog, the lots of hot chocolate, the chocolate covered pretzels, and such. Then I got to thinking, almost all our holidays have specific foods that we associate with that Holiday. Sure there are some cultural and locational differences in foods, but some foods are almost universal. Such as the turkey at Thanksgiving and egg nog at Christmas. The cake at Birthdays the greens on New Years. But WHO decided what foods go with what event? Who made the decision that we should eat cake at birthdays and not pie? I want to know! I want to know who made the decision for the rest of us to be trapped in meaningless tradition for the rest of our lives! The audacity of it all! To think that they had the gall to determine what everybody else should eat on certain special days. Who do they think they are? OK I am going a bit overboard on purpose, but I am just saying. Where the crap did all the tradition come from and why are people STILL doing the exact same thing? Its like an endless cycle of sheep falling off of a cliff, I think we need to veer away from the cliff and have all the other sheep follow behind us! We will jump off a bridge instead and have everybody eating pie at birthdays and low-fat yogurts at Thanksgiving. That should keep them going for another few hundred years. Until some rebel sheep decides that the fire looks better than the bridge.

New Vehicle

Yeah so I have a dilemma. I can't decide whether I want to get a new motorcycle or a car. I have a car, but it is starting to give me problems, so I want to get a new car. But I have wanted a motorcycle for as long as I can remember. If I got a motorcycle I would keep my crappy car so I can drive in all weather, or if I just don't want to drive the motorcycle. I would save alot of gas with the motorcycle. Then again I don't want to pay for 2 insurances. So if I just had a motorcycle, I wouldn't have access to a car when it rains or storms, or when I am taking people places. Like on dates and such... like that ever happens, haha. How weird would it be to have the girl drive me everywhere, it would just feel wrong. It is a hard choice, motorcycles are cheaper to buy and to maintain(and I have wanted one for forever), but with a car I can drive in all weather and take people with me. This has vexed me.

Oscar Wilde

I am currently on an Oscar Wilde craze. I bought The Complete Works of Oscar Wilde and am working on reading through it. If you haven't heard of him or read his stuff, you should check it out. The few times that I actually laugh out loud is when I was reading his poems and plays. He is very witty and uses a lot of clever sarcasm in his works. I would recommend reading The Importance of Being Ernest, its not a long play and very funny. Granted I don't agree with him as a person, as in his beliefs or choice of lifestyle. He was rather agnostic and known to swing more than one way in his choice of companions. But I appreciate his works though, it's just genius. Anyway, if you are reader and like witty humor I think you will love Oscar Wilde's stuff, check it out.

My Book on Politics

~Note: this is Satirical, so take it easy

I have just recently decided to write a book on Liberals. I have a theory regarding Liberals. They are dead set on supporting abortion and pro choice. Consequently the liberal population will soon decrease, perhaps they will abort themselves into extinction. That is why they are making a mad dash right now for increased funding and the legalization for stem cell research. Which will enable cloning. They want to clone themselves so they can keep on aborting their children while their ideals will live on. Also their reason for supporting stem cell research is to find out how to cure diseases and save the human race from being aborted into extinction. But that is just their disguise, they secretly want to find the gene that tends to make people conservative. Therefore enabling them to detect a conservative before they are born and abort them. So they can irradicate the conservatives from the world in one swift genocide. Thus having complete controle of the United States they will try to negotiate with Extreme Islamists and let them invade the United States. So I will give it about 50 years until the U.S. is controled by Terrorists, maybe 80-90 before they controle the whole world. So lets go vote for liberals to run our Congress guys, yay!
