The Democratic Congress

I seem to remember one of the main slogans the Dems used in the 2006 elections to be "We are going to clean up congress and stop all the corruption. We need full disclosure!"… or something to that affect. My question is, what happened? According to a recent poll by the people at Gallup, the Congress has a 14% confidence rating. Not only is this the lowest rating Congress has had in the history of Gallup polls, but it is the lowest out of the 16 institutions that were polled. According to the poll, the people of the U.S. have over twice the amount of confidence in our public school system as they do in their Congress! Dang. That is just sad. I think the 46% rating of the churches is pretty embarrassing as well, but I think that is due to the amount of churches that are “country club-ish” and that just flat out crumble due to corruption. But that is a whole other post in itself. So to get back on topic, what has the Democratic Congress done for us? What has is achieved in the time it has been in power? I really want to know, because I can’t think of anything besides empty legislation and empty promises. I also think that the fact that our military is at the top is a testament to the caliber of our fine men and women in uniform. In my opinion the lack of confidence in our government as a whole shows that the people of the United States are not satisfied with how things are being handled. Such as the lack of action being taken to secure our borders, and deal with the immigration problem, or the lack of funding and support for our troops in Iraq. I say Congress needs a good slap in the face to get their heads out of the clouds and get back on line with what is important to the American people.

End of Time

It occured to me the other day, while I was in a deep meditation, contemplating the end of the world, that one of the only things that most people and most religions half-way agree on is that we are nearing the end of the world. Whether its the disapearance of the honey bees, global warming, end of the Mayan calender in 2012, the electric cloud in space, the estimation that our oil supply will be depleated withing the next 5-10 years, the turmoil in Middle East, the current Pope being the last of the "predicted Popes", people trying to raise money to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem in the "origianl spot", the increase in natural disasters and violence, or what-have-you. The main point is I think that it is quite obviouse that we are in fact nearing the end of our time on earth. Wouldn't it be amazing to be alive for the 2nd coming or rapture, whatever you believe. What an exciting time to be alive. I wonder if this generation, if it is the generation to face the end times, will have what it takes to face it head on? I wonder if we are prepared, or at least trying to prepare ourselves the best we can. Or are we doing what I find myself doing most of the time, just going through the days as normal. As if nothing will happen to me, I know that I myself am not as mindful of God and of His will for my life as I should be. I don't always have a Heaven mindset; or be working toward things that will last, not things of this world, when I know I should. There is so much that I wan't to do and want to experience in life. I need to start living every day to its fullest. Every day for the glory of the Father.

Update

So yeah its been awhile since I have posted. I am such a slacker. So lately I have been doing the whole college and church stuff. I kinda stopped looking for a job because I got tired of it. But I still want and need one, I am just lazy. When I am not at class or doing school work, I have been wasting my life away in front of my Xbox 360...my baby. I haven't even worked on some things I started writing and just left them. They just sit... unfinished, begging for me to give them attention. So yeah that is what my days are like now and I feel pathetic, yet good at the same time, haha. I guess its just all the free time I have actually have to waste that gives me that feeling. My Pa left for Argentina today on a church mission trip. He will be gone this week and most of next. My Ma and little brother are going to my grandparents condo in Orlando for this next week. Me and Amanda have class so we couldn't go. So it's just us two for about a week...so if you want to party just let us know! haha. Now I must be off to another class, farewell.

No more Goo Goo

Yesterday was the first Saturday in over a year that I had to myself. It was so nice, but it felt weird though. Did some chores then lazed around most of the day. Played my XBOX 360, watched a movie, and went to my cousin's Birthday party. I must savor that time, because this week I must go job-hunting...dun dun dunnnn. Why did I wait until I was unemployed to look for another job you ask? Well that is because I was worked like a dog at work. But either way I will now have more time for finishing allot of things and ideas that I began long ago. And yes better blogs, I know you are thrilled, so am I my dear.

Unemployed

As of the 18th of this month I will have no job. I submitted my two weeks because I can't work a full time job with more classes coming up. I am taking a full load this summer, and summer classes are soo long, because you only have like two months to get a full semester's work in. So I am in class like everyday from 8am till like 2pm. Then the fall I am taking a full load again. Spring I will most likely graduate, but who knows. I need to get a actual part time job, that doesn't pay crap. The only problem is, the only part time jobs out there pay like 6 an hour. I might be forced to take one of those type jobs though, its better than nothing. I wan't a computer job so bad i can taste it! But I don't have a degree...uhg. The agony. So...if you know of any decent part time jobs, throw them my way, thanks!

Global-warming

Ok a little rant on the whole global-warming conspiracy that is bugging the crap out of me, so please bear with me. So pretty much the majority of the scientific society is swearing up and down on their graves that global warming is inevitable and the extinction of man is swiftly approaching. They say that man is killing the planet and polluting it. That part is the only part I agree with. I have problems with the rest of it though. There is always something we can do help take care of our planet, because we are hurting nature with our constant urbanization, expansion, industrialization, and such. So with that out of the way lets move on to the end of the world. First the simple fact that scientists can’t accurately predict the weather for tomorrow is a big clincher in their theory. Have you ever kept track of the weather predictions and the actual weather of that day? Yeah so 99% chance of rain means it’s not supposed to be a sunny day right? Point being that nature in itself is unpredictable and something we are only beginning to understand. Might be because an all-powerful, all-knowing God created it, but that’s a whole other rant. That being said, whenever anyone refutes global warming they are called stupid and ignorant. Same for anyone who suggests that global warming is a theory, because that is what it is, a theory. They would like you to think it is hard fact, exactly what they do with evolution. There are actual scientists that refute the theory and they are cast out of the scientific community because of it. Sounds fishy to me, sounds like they are using fear and are bullying people to push their agenda along. Do you know what was going to be the end of the world in the 1970’s? An ice age! Yeah in the 70’s the scientists were saying an ice age was coming and it was inevitable. Wait now it’s warming? That sounds completely opposite from an ice age. Huh. But there are climate changes that tend towards either end of the spectrum. If one looks into the past one finds that there have been large climate changes going back and forth. Times that snowy regions get uncommonly warm, visa-versa and so forth. What I think is this is just another sick plot by the liberal left and environmentalists radicals. Maybe they want people to help the environment and our planet. So they scare everybody into believing their theory and people start acting upon it. They smack anyone who would dare suggest their theory is not sound, that their theory is not fact. Maybe they are 100% correct and I am an unlearned buffoon. Believe what you want, the end is coming one way or the other, soon you will start hearing talk of a large electrical cloud the size of a galaxy that is coming to engulf the earth. You have been warned!

Easter

Had the typical Easter gathering at my Grandparent's house today. You know, the hiding of the easter eggs, and the little-uns scamper about in their Easter outfits and look for them. Well here are some picturse of the occasion, as well as some National Geographic type material at the end. Too bad there aren't any pictures of me, because I was one hunk of Easter goodness, baha.

Aw look at Amanda! how precious!

Some Canadian Geese came up to the dock while we were there. A Female we will call Roxy came first, Amanda and Miranda were feeding her. Then two male geese came up and were harassing her. Bert and Ernie. The nasty ruffians.

Here is Roxy, she is such a sweatie.

Here are the rascally devils. Bert is coming in for the kill.

Ernie voicing his dissaproval of Roxy giving him the brush off.

Here is Roxy trying to hide from the brutes, It didn't last though, they found her eventually. She had to run off. Tough life being a pretty goose...tough life.
