God's Plan
Computer programmer, software engineer, game designer, writer, member of the U.S. military, web designer, movie/game reviewer, member of a band, skateboard professionally, radio personality, run my own business, hardware technician. Those are all things that I could see myself doing for a living and being happy and content doing them. But I can’t remember when I sat down and asked God what He wants me to do with my life. What direction, what field he wants me to go into. I have always had some sort of carefully laid out plan that I have laid out and said I was going to do. That plan has changed several times, but I have always been the one steering the ship here. I know that you can serve God in any field, and have always thought that God has put certain interests and desires in my heart for a reason. But I have never sat down and prayed about it. I got scared and thought, “What if I have been going in the wrong direction this whole time? What if I have been wasting time and going the wrong way?” Does He want me to be a computer geek? Does He want me to serve my country? Does He want me to go a totally different direction than I have ever even considered? So if you are a praying person, would you please say a prayer for me, I need some direction from God. I don’t want to be wasting my time.

I will pray with you.
A few thoughts:
MAYBE it doesn't matter.
Maybe you have been blessed with several gifts and skills, any of which could be used to glorify God and further His kingdom.
So many college students are plagued with uncertainty knowing what direction they should take to lead their lives, wanting to do "the will of God".
Maybe the fact that you're having such a hard time deciding suggests that God has given you many gifts and talents - a smorgasboard to choose your career from, and rather than a burden, what a great blessing!
Rather than thinking of God saying, "Here's what you could do. Better pick the right one" maybe he's saying, "I've given you many gifts. Any can be used to effectively serve me. Pick one and enjoy!"
Serve where you're at. Do it 100%. There is no right or wrong.
Good luck. :)
Wow. I like that.
Thank you for your prayers and words of infinite wisdom. I shall ponder upon this...
